「道」 Michi

Way Just as in English, the Japanese word michi (also pronounced do) ,meaning “path” or “way” is used as a metaphor for life’s Journey.
A person living an immoral life will thus be described as fudotoku,or “not on the road of virtue.”
Michi also refers to the spiritual values of a particular skill .
Kado (written with the characters for “flower” and “way”) is the art of flower arrangement; kendo is the art of sword fighting ; and shinto is the way of the gods, or the native religion of Japan.
