「匠」

Takumi Craft In Japan people who are masters of traditional handcrafts are said to have takumi (craft) As more and more things are created through mass production,the Japanese are working up to the special worth of products created by individual artisans whose skills have been honed over a lifetime.(Of course ,there are parts of the mass-production process-things like polishing or grinding -that require the sort of intuition and precision that only a human with takumi can achieve)
Accepting the traditional teacher-student relationship is an
important part of passing takumi from one generation to the next
